mukaarquitectura is an architecture practice founded in 2008 by Moisés Royo, who holds an international Ph.D in Advanced Architecture Design by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, he has completed his studies in Columbia University in New York besides in Aalto University, Helsinki. At the moment, Moisés combines practise teaching experiences at Madrid Chamber of Architects. The office has been already awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Housing. In the International Board, 2017 3rd Prize in Letonia (Riga), 2016 Runner-up for Vertical Cemetery in Tokyo, Finalist Building of the Year Awards in SpainLatin America, Honourable Mention in national competitions, Finalist in the International Design & Architecture Award 2015, Finalist in FAD City & Landscape 2014 Awards, Finalist in the International housing competition “This is tomorrow”,2nd Prize in Europan 11 Switzerland. The office has already developed several projects for the Public InstitutionsPrivate Developers for other countries, including investors Bahrain, besides lecturer in Canada, Italy + Portugal for example. Practice work focuses in identifying, for each project, the keys of the place, orientations, program, budget, structure, tradition + modern construction techniques that offers a personal reading of architecture + allowed us o obtain innovative forms + sustainable solutions for the 21st century society.
